Totally agree on the price fluctuation... And in general.Old does not automatically equate to bad or weak or obsolete. There are some really good synths there, Massive in particular. In this context though, the problem is not much that it is more expensive than before, the problem is that 19 euros for such obsolete / outdated plugin is clearly too much.
I understand that fm8 has an history, many people love it, Skrillex may have used it and all that.
It is still a decade(s) old tool showing its age and contrary to serum, not up to the current mark of plugins. It should be a freebie.
Just not for this specific one. But I think it is fine, everybody can have different tastes. To me the UI is extraordinarily not engaging and the sound is just ok but I know fm8 is very well regarded so I can be wrong (and I live very well with this idea
