Thanks for your suggestion. I d/l the demo of AD2 which came along with 2 ADpacks. The UI is very nice compare to SSD5 (free). I demo'ed with SSD5 free for 10 mins and didn't click with me so sooner or later it will be off of my hard drive.+1 to Addictive Drums, although I would also suggest giving Toontrack EZ Drummer a look as another option (looks like it’s currently on sale, too). Both of these have a good range of diverse expansions covering everything you’re looking for. I have SSD and it’s very good, but I think it leans more toward the harder side of rock and less so on pop and R&B.
I’d avoid BFD3 as though your life depended on it. It’s absolutely horrible for installation, stability, customer support, etc.
For AD2, though I am not a professional producer with mixing acoustic drum.... The kits sounds good to my ears. Lots of control or sound shaping to keep you busy.
BFD3 : eye catching price tag... But I will avoid base on those members' comments.
