I'm considering purchasing a drum VST for my music production setup. Currently, I don't have any drum VSTs, and I'm looking for something that's on sale. I've narrowed down my options to Steven Slate Drums 5.5 (I need to check how many expansions are included), Addictive Drums 2.5 (with three ADpacks for $101), and BFD 3. My focus is on pop, rock, R&B, and light rock genres, so I'm avoiding anything too heavy like metal.
Which one do you think would be a better long-term investment for these genres? Any feedback or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
