I generally mean a reverb like Pro-R or Nimbus that is more invisible but adds dimension or serves the mix in creating a natural sense of space. Seventh Heaven feels perfect for that "mix utlity" role because its small and fast, has a pre curated set of immediately very useful presets, most of which have short decay times (~1-2 second or so) which is usually what I use for stuff like percussion and vocals. It also just sounds really great compared to Nimbus or Pro-R to me.Why not CRP a daily mix reverb?Bought:
Tai Chi (full)
Seventh Heaven is my new daily mix reverb.
BTW seems that after CRP I am also will say goodbye to Valhalla...
CRP for me feels more like when I want the reverb to be more apparent. I feel like I reach for it more when I want gigantic cavernous hall sounds or just deep, rich impressive reverbs where I want the reverb itself to be a bit more forward to enjoy the sound of it.
