I built a synth plugin from scratch, so both DSP and UI took a lot .. I would guess it's more like a 50:50 split in my case, but after 2 years my brain might just be playing tricks on me ![:)]( "Smile")
The "skin parts" of UI work usually felt like fairly quick work compared to all the experimentation regarding layout that I needed to do to find one that I feel works best, especially while parts of the sound engine were still evolving ..
