Thanks for replying, do you think the benefits of using a third party app like sononym outweigh having everything in the box? Having everything in one interface is appealing, and as far as I understand, the collections in the browser can be quite powerful, but also sononym has the find similar sounds feature, which I haven't used much yet so don't know how useful that is. Also things like sorting sounds based on attributes, finding duplicates, project folders etc.
My biggest issues with Sononym at the moment is that is doesn't enable you to create your own categories, and the auto-categorization makes it hard to find all samples of a specific type - does the find similar sounds feature help with this from your experience? And secondly that you cannot categorize loops.
Apparently, the next release will have the custom tagging feature, so I assume this means you will be able to override the default categorization to anything you choose but I don't know if that will include the ability to tag loops.
I also saw a post at the beginning of the year where the developer was saying that 1.6 was due to land in the next few months, but no sign so far - so hence why I'm debating if I want to wait or just use the bitwig browser instead.
