The base code of Omnisphere 2 has been around for a while now. What used to require a pretty powerful PC thanks to Moore's Law now really doesn'tThis. It#s been my one constant complaint about Spectraonics gear - it sounds great but actually using it is like wading through treacle.I'd like to see Omni 3 do some kind of rewrite and overhaul of the codebase to make the software less "heavy". Everything feels a bit slow, bloated and unstable for me. Like a codebase that has had too many layers of stuff glued to it too many times. Or copyprotection that is embedded in too much of the code. Just my 2c
But it is what it is; they clearly cater to their high-end users so nothing's ever done.
When Omnisphere 2 came out in 2015 what would be a pretty standard PC today was super high end. Especially RAM and SSD storage
