As I qualified it according to my tastes, you're attempt at making it a pure ad hominem is becoming circular. Otherwise, I take the rest as a compliment. Thank you.
I wonder if these same people refuse to drive a car when it doesn't operate like the one they learned in when necessary. As many pianos as I've played, I've learned to be adaptable to what ever is necessary to use. However, Pianoteq gives me the smoothest drive in all terrains and conditions.
What does "raw piano" even really mean? No processing? That doesn't even exist in the real world with a real piano, because it's always about it in its environment. Factors of air pressure, humidity and temperature are not static. And equally according to the players perception, which can change from one moment to the next in an open minded player.
Nothing wrong with comparisons here, although maybe more appropriate if comparing from within the plugin instead of attacking it from outside of it.
Don't like Pianoteq? Fine. Go discuss the ones you do.
Modartt is a company I want to continue to support because they're getting better and better. All the other piano plugins/sample libraries I own have fallen to the wayside because they want to be static and force their customers to be just as fixed according to that.
