DSP and Plugin Development • Re: How to catch the plugin window focus loss event in macOS?

I would like to track the appearance of any other pop-up menus on the screen and get a loss of focus event, but alas, I am not such a big expert on macOS, so I ask for help from knowledgeable colleagues.
Honestly, not sure. It looks like most applications that are using their own UI system (eg. Chrome) actually think they still have focus (eg. Chrome cursor still blinks) when an unrelated popup menu is open. On the other hand, the builtin applications do not show this behaviour (eg. it's probably easiest to see with Terminal which draws an "out of focus" cursor as soon as a menu is open).

No idea. Terminal actually shows a little bit of delay with it's cursor redraw on focus changes, so perhaps they don't actually work on events, but rather just poll the state in cursor blinking code?

Would have to investigate... but not right now.
